On the 6th of november 2014 the research project “PraevEM” at University of Applied Sciences Mittweida was concluded. Felix Otto and Tina Straßburger presented their research results in the field of information management. Teutates Digital Asset Management was demonstrated – a prototype developed in java specialised on 3D data management. The presentation was well received by various cooperation partners as well as the members of the university.
The Fields of application are diverse. Using Teutates in teaching can improve the students training in Game Design & 3D-Modelling and Content Management. Managing produced media assets and 3D data via DAM and provide them to future students and staff is an important element of future-oriented studies. The research for Teutates intensified the collaborative work between the Faculty of media as well as the Faculty Mathematics/Sciences/Computer Science at University of Applied Sciences Mittweida.
The young researchers were supported by six student assistants as well as the professors Wilfried Schubert (Software Engineering), Andreas Ittner (Data Mining) and Alexander Marbach (Computer Graphics & Visual Deisgn).
We’d like to thank our cooperation partners:
- Frank Lenhard (PiXABLE STUDIOS Mastersolutions AG)
- Ingo Gringer (msg systems ag)
for the inspiring talks and discussions which made it possible to realize the prototype linked to economic interests.
